Bluebonnet Photographer in Brenham, TX | Bazzell Family Spring Session

I loved photographing the Bazzell family this Spring—a family that attends our church—who reached out for bluebonnet photos during peak bloom in Brenham, the Bluebonnet Capital of Texas.
Bluebonnet season can be unpredictable, with blooms depending on just the right mix of timing, sun, and rocky soil. Finding a scenic spot with beautiful light can be a challenge, especially since bluebonnets thrive in full sun and open fields. But this year, everything aligned—the flowers were gorgeous, and I discovered a little shaded nook that gave us the soft light I love.
The Bazzell family was a joy to capture among the wildflowers, and every photo turned out so beautifully. We even snuck in a few cap and gown photos of their youngest, Anniston, who’s celebrating her preschool graduation. It was the perfect way to mark such a special season in their lives.

Golden Hour Family Photos in Spring, TX | Extended Family Session at the Nature Preserve

I loved getting to photograph this sweet extended family out at a nature preserve here in Spring, TX. Four generations all together—how special is that? The light was perfect, the location was peaceful, and there was so much love and laughter between everyone.
Multi-generational sessions are always so rewarding to photograph—capturing these one of a kind moments so they can cherish them forever.

Brenham, TX Family Photos | Golden Hour in the Country

Denese and Russell’s family session in Brenham, TX, was extra special as it marked the start of their next chapter. They gathered with their three grown children, their spouses, and six grandchildren on their beautiful new land, where they plan to build their dream homestead for retirement.
I had a great time capturing the entire group, as well as each individual family unit, all surrounded by the peaceful countryside. Even their fur baby, Reagan, joined in on many of the photos! One of Denese’s special requests was a photo of the family on their tractor, with the cows peeking out in the background—and it all came together beautifully during the golden hour. I’m honored to have captured these memories and can’t wait to see the home they create here!
Maddie and Grace, the two oldest grandchildren, are part of the Class of 2025. I had the privilege of photographing them over the summer, and their portraits turned out absolutely stunning. You can check out some of their gorgeous photos here.
You’ll also notice in the last photo (compliments of Lauren) that I brought my whole crew along for this session. We made a family stop at Blue Bell for ice cream before meeting the Terry family on their land, and of course, we couldn’t pass up a pit stop at Buc-ee’s on the way home! The kids had a blast running free on their beautiful property. It was a fun-filled day for everyone!
